Hidden away in the mountains of California, lives a tall Rubenesque lass named De, who has always found it difficult to find attractive, sensual, well designed clothes that fit. De dreamed of a place where all sexy and sensuous women, regardless of size, could find something fun and flattering to wear.
She finally decided that if you want something done right, you have to do it yourself, and so, with the help of good friends and family, she created. .  .

A LETTER FROM THE
FOUNDER AND CEO
|

Welcome to my dream. . .a place where all sexy and sensuous women (aka
delinquent
diva™) regardless of age, size or body type, can find something fun and flattering to wear. I have always been a tall, Rubenesque* woman and have always had
difficulty finding attractive, sensual, well designed clothes that fit.
On my 55th birthday, my friend Cathy and I started delinquent diva™, an exclusive club for women who believed that they were as sexy, sensuous and erotic as the thin (undernourished) models in the lingerie catalogs. In other words, just because we may be older, and we wear plus size clothes, it doesn’t mean we don’t want to dress in alluring and sensual fashions to please our partners or just ourselves.
My lifelong frustration and dissatisfaction with the plus size
clothing available has led to the creation of this Internet store, where I pledge to have comfortable, flattering and affordable clothing, designed specifically with you, the delinquent
diva™ in mind. Thanks for stopping by.

* Peter Paul Rubens (1577 to 1640) was a Flemish artist who painted women the way we were supposed to look before Madison Avenue and the media convinced us that to be sexy we had to be emaciated. Rubens’ paintings
portray women as voluptuous and buxom, with thick waists, bountiful buttocks and thighs, and strong legs. Type his name in on your search engine and check out some of his masterpieces such as The Garden of Love (1630),The Little Fur (1638 painting of his 2nd wife), Venus Feast (1830), Andromeda (1638), The Three Graces (1640) and my personal favorite; Diana and her Nymphs Surprised by the Fauns (1638). Then, you will understand
the true meaning of Rubenesque.
